59th Annual Mother Goose Queen's Coronation
The Mother Goose Parade Association will hold the
2009 Mother Goose Queen's Coronation on
Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the El Cajon Elks Lodge located at 1400 E. Washington in El Cajon.
Every year, a place of honor is reserved in the Mother Goose Parade for our new ambassador and her royal court. This year, the selected individual will reign over the historical
63rd Annual Mother Goose Parade atop her very own spectacular float on Sunday, November 22, 2009. The Queen and her Royal Court will not only reign over the parade, but will also make community appearances throughout the year as Goodwill Ambassadors and will receive numerous prizes. College scholarships are also awarded to the top winners.
The Coronation is the event that honors these young women for all their hard work and accomplishments and for succeeding their journey through our Leadership/Goodwill Ambassador Program. It is also the time when the 59th Mother Goose Queen is selected.
It is a celebration that needs to be supported and experienced by all.
Proceeds will benefit The Mother Goose Parade Association and the Queen and her Royal Court Scholarship Funds. Check back for more information.
If you are interested in participating, donating, sponsoring this event, or purchasing a ticket, please call the Mother Goose Parade Association office at (619) 444-8712 or email

The Mother Goose Parade
presented by Cox Communication
Well over 100 colorful and exciting parade entries come from a variety of cities throughout the United States to share in the excitement that is part of the Mother Goose Parade. Each year we are proud to present a line-up of spectacular motorized floats, glorious marching bands and drill units, eloquent equestrians, animated clowns, special characters, special guests, performing artists, giant helium balloons, specialty vehicles, and of course, Santa Claus.
Every parade entry is specially selected to bring enjoyment to children and adults alike.
You can watch the parade for free along the entire parade route (see "
Parade Route")
Or you can purchase grand stand seating along Main Street between Sulzfeld and W.D. Hall Streets (see "
Grand Stands").
Parade starts at 10:00 a.m. (after the Pre-Parade Show) and is expected to last for 2 to 2-1/2 hours.
