2009 PARADE AND BROADCAST HOSTS
The Mother Goose Parade Association is happy to announce our 2009 Parade and Broadcast Hosts for the Mother Goose Parade scheduled for Sunday, November 22, 2009
"Always the Sunday Before Thanksgiving". We are fortunate to have two talented, well-known, iconic individuals that will keep the excitement alive, both LIVE and on air.
Monica Zech
Monica Zech, a native San Diegan, began her career with the El Cajon Fire Department on August 13, 2001, becoming the City's Public Information Officer on July 18, 2005.
Prior to joining the City of El Cajon, Monica was a 30 year veteran of Television and Radio News, the last 18 years as a traffic reporter. Switching careers from broadcasting to the fire department was a dramatic career change, but Monica felt her prayers had been answered to have a job that allows her to not only provide safety education "full time", but to proudly represent and work directly with the heroic men and women of the El Cajon Fire and Police Departments.
Kimberlin Brown-Pelxer

"Young & Restless", "Bold & Beautiful"
Day Time award winning actress Kimberlin Brown is best known for her portrayal of the deviant Sheila Carter witch originated on the # 1 day time show the "Young and the Restless" on CBS. Her character became so popular that Bill Bell, the creator, of "Young and the Restless" and "Bold and the Beautiful" decided to try crossing the character to the "Bold and the Beautiful". It was the first successful cross over in day time history catapulting the "Bold and the Beautiful" into the number two position in the ratings within her first week of airing giving Bill Bell the # 1 and # 2 shows in day time television.
Kimberlin acted in various feature films such as "Back to School", "Who's that Girl", "Eye of the Tiger", and "Proud American" to name a few.
After marrying, she decided to go into Day Time TV to allow her the freedom of staying home to be a mom and raise a family.
Kimberlin owns and operates a highly successful design business in North County-San Diego (California)
She is married to Gary Pelzer and has two children, Alexes and Nicholas.

Marc and San Diego 6 News in the Morning are part of the daily routine for thousands of San Diegans. Marc is co-anchor of the popular morning newscast. The San Diego native is seen weekday mornings with co-anchor Lynda Martin from 5-9 am.
Marc says it was during his years growing up in San Diego that he first realized he wanted to be a broadcaster. Before pursuing that dream, however, he wanted to spend some time in service to the community. That led to three and a half years as a San Diego police officer. The experience became a valuable asset when he became a reporter. Marc's broadcasting career started locally at KOGO radio. He honed his television skills on the national cable networks E! Entertainment Television, HBO, and CNN. Before arriving at San Diego 6, Marc was the lead anchor at KNXV-TV in Phoenix and morning anchor in at WAGA in Atlanta. Marc holds a BA from National University
